Independent. Family-Owned. Wildly Authentic.
The world is losing its wild places and corporations are taking over most Safari camps. Our small family owned and run photographic Safari bush camp is one of the few independent camps left.
South Luangwa National Park is one of the last of the wild places left on earth, and that is especially true for the Nsefu Sector. We pride ourselves on answering only to our clients and local authorities for how we run our camp.
You do not get to pick your land in this wilderness. We were granted an area by Senior Chief Nsefu. However, because the land was originally in a hunting concession, we fought for 5 years for the right to stay and open a photographic safari camp.
"Most of this was made possible by our son Demian. Without his bravery and perseverance, we would not be here today."
We built Zikomo Safari incorporating everything we liked about the camps we stayed in as tourists and leaving out what we didn’t care for. We are a family that simply fell in love with being around Wildlife.
Designed for enthusiasts who want to capture the raw beauty of the Nsefu Sector without distraction.
We aren't a corporation. We are a family on-site, ensuring your experience is personal and authentic.
We believe tourism is the main reason wildlife still exists in the wild. Your stay directly supports conservation.
Experience the location that we fought so hard to protect.
